Robert Coombs

Robert Coombs serves as Senior Financial Advisor at Sullivan & Associates in Newburgh, NY. Bob started his career in Poughkeepsie, NY with MONY Financial Services after graduating from the University of Tampa with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.

After 18 years with MONY he accepted a position with John Hancock where he enjoyed a successful career helping clients reach their financial goals. In 2004 he moved to HSBC as a senior financial advisor and Vice president.

He grew his practice with the help of his partner Anthony Ortiz and Registered Account Administrator Derek Pinelli. Over the years his client base grew to over 1200 clients and over $170,000,000 in assets under management by January of 2015.

Bob stayed with First Niagara investment services after their acquisition of HSBC, then started The Captiva Group in 2016. Bob also is a Chartered Financial Consultant® and Chartered Life Underwriter® from the American College.
